The product
What is Farmiglia?
An app for travelers. You pick a place you are in or going to, and find real people there for advice, recommendations, and company.
Is this a dating app?
No. There is no swipe deck, no sparks, no compatibility chart, and no “looking for” setting. Meeting someone is allowed. The product is not built to rank romantic matches.
Where do I use it?
In the mobile app. This website explains the product, the rules, and how to reach us.
Is there a fee?
There is no price and no upgrade button on the product right now.
People and places
Do you use my GPS?
No. Location is manual. You pick a country or drop a pin. Looking at a city does not save it as yours.
What do other people see?
A photo, your name, your age, and your role in that city. They do not see your date of birth, and there is no profile page to open.
What is an Advisor?
A person verified for one city. Verification is a government ID plus proof of being there — a lease, a utility bill, or a short clip filmed there — reviewed before they are listed.
What is a Travel Friend?
Someone who toggles that they are open to talking or meeting in their current city. It turns off for that city when they are no longer there.
Can I be both in one city?
No. You can hold different roles in different cities. Not both roles in the same city.
If an Advisor moves, do they disappear?
Their advice stays listed for the city they were approved in. Company requests only appear if their current place is still that city.
Conversation
When can we chat?
After they accept your request. The request says advice or company, plus an optional note.
Are there group chats?
One room per destination. You preview it, then join on purpose. Joined rooms show up with your private chats.
Can I comment on a tip?
No. You can save a tip. To talk to the author, you send a private request.
Safety and accounts
Who can join?
Adults 18 and older only. Minors may not use Farmiglia.
How do I report someone?
Use Report in the app, or email support with what happened, who was involved, and when. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
How do I block someone?
Block from the conversation. They should not be able to keep contacting you while we review a report.
What happens to violations?
We can remove content, suspend an account, ban it, and report to authorities where the law requires it. Child sexual abuse and exploitation has zero tolerance.
How do I get help with my account?
